first trip to the dentist

I took Banks to the dentist yesterday because I noticed that his top middle tooth had either split in half or another tooth was fused to it. Turns out that in fact, the tooth that should be next to the middle tooth had apparently attached itself to the middle tooth and has grown in along side it (circled in the picture below.)




The dentist said it shouldn't bother him but to come back in 9 months after other teeth have come in and the current ones have made their way down. He may or may not get the tooth that is supposed to be next to the one that is fused, we'll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime, we are getting excited about heading to the beach on Saturday for our annual Stanton Family Beach Trip Bonanza. This will be Banks' first trip to the grand ocean and I am anticipating some great stories for when we return.

One Step Closer

We got Banks a push toy to play with and help him learn to walk (forward). He's mastered walking side-to-side around tables, the highchair, the entertainment center, etc. When he first got the toy all he was doing with it was picking it up and crashing it on the floor and into the walls. The past couple of days he has been trying to walk with it and I finally captured it on video. Too cute!!!!

Update on Us:
We moved into a townhome.
We turned the BMW in for (drum roll please)..............
A MINI VAN - oh yes - we got a van. Yep it has stow-n-go, swivel seats and a DVD player - Thank Ya! Chuck was actually driving down the road the other day drumming on the steering wheel to a Barney DVD singing along - it was priceless.
And Chuck got a job. He works at a local marketing company - as their Brand Strategist/Manager. YEAH :)

Update on Banks:
You are now 9 1/2 months old and are acting every bit your age and gender. You are wilder than ever moving around like it's nobody's business. You're so fun and playful right now, I love it. You hug, babble and even say "mama", which I particularly love, since you've been saying "dada" for what seems like forever.

You have graduated to the giant cart (which is real fun for me when I am pushing you around the store running into everything).



Your favorite foods (right now) are strawberries (as you can see on your face in the pic), bananas and yogurt.



You LOVE swinging at the park (and even cried yesterday when I took you out of the swing).



You are in a one year old car seat - even though you aren't old enough - (but since you don't own an ID card the cops will never know) and it helps you see the DVD player better and makes you (and me) really happy when you are happy in the car.



You are attempting to stand on your own, but after a couple of seconds you realize that you are on your own and you sit back down.



You weigh 19.5 lbs (although when I pick you up you feel MUCH heavier) and are 29 inches long.



You have four teeth.



Your favorite thing to do is open and shut every door, cabinet and drawer in the entire house.

Happy 9th month

Happy 9th month (and a couple of days) to my sweet baby boy!!!!
I just got my internet back up and running again and wasn't able to give Banks a happy 9 month shout out - via the internet, of course.

I will post a "what's banks up to" update tomorrow after we get back from his 9 month appointment so I can tell y'all how big he is and such.
