related?

I found this picture of Addie (my sister's baby) and thought it looked so much like Banks. So I took some pictures today to see if they indeed looked alike.

What do y'all think?

A couple others from the photo shoot.

my precious little boy...

hi-larious!!!

I just had to take this photo. Banks was in his stationary jumpy thingy just going to town and all of the sudden I didn't hear anything. I walked into the room and this is how I found him.

Poor little thing with his head resting on that hard piece of plastic, guess he was tired. He's never actually fallen asleep in anything other than his swing, crib or car seat. I was glad to see that he can sleep just about anywhere.

Banks had his 4 month check-up yesterday. He was so brave. He had to get 4 shots in his legs and drink some concoction. Oh, and I must give a shout out to Chuck. He was super brave too and stayed in the room this time while the shots were administered (
in my sarcastic tone, of course)!!

Banks weighed in at 15 lbs and is 25.5 inches long. Of course Chuck was concerned about the percentiles and always loves it when he's high in that domain. I'm like uh, no, i don't want him to be HUGE. Carrying him around is already giving me back pain!
MEN - they just don't get it. Does everything have to be a competition, even with baby percentiles?

I have added some photos that we took this past weekend. Yes, that's spit-up on his shirt but he was being so cute for the camera. I didn't want to mess up his mojo.

(Chuck was in the above picture, but he made me crop him out because he didn't like how he looked - he's not vain at all!)

Banks went on his first playdate Saturday. My friend and I took the boys to Falls Park in Downtown Greenville. It was like 75˚ outside and we had on jeans - real smart. But we can't fit into any other clothes so we had no choice (guess i better get working out before spring hits). First we forgot sunscreen, so we had to stop on the way. Then we had to parallel park, which was a nightmare because we ended up doing about a "30 point parallel parking job". After about 10 mins of trying to get BOTH the jog strollers out of the car, both boys out of the car, into
the strollers and put on the sunscreen, we were on our way and sweating profusely. Then we had to make our way to the park with the entire City of Greenville that had the same idea. Instead of taking the elevator, which had a line of about 25 strollers, we decided to take the path that led down to the grass. We found a shady area, and it was after we got everything out and the blankets down that we discovered we were on a slope but thought oh well!!!! The boys played for a while (which was so cute to see) and then we headed back to the car. Once the boys got in the car, they fell fast asleep. I got home and took Banks out of his carrier only to notice that I didn't strap him in after we left the park!!!!!! Since this is how the day was going, I called Tanya to tell her and laugh about it only for her to tell me that we left my base to the car seat in her car!

We couldn't believe how crazy we were! I mean you would have thought we had never left the house with the babies before. I am sure next time will be a breeze :) Here are some pictures.

Naptime

Well, after 4 months i decided for his nap i would let Banks try to go down on his own...

Since Banks entered the world i have always carried him in my arms circling the living room and dining room until he fell asleep. Lately i have been thinking, durn, will he ever just be able to go to sleep on his own now that i have gotten him used to this (obviously someone didn't read Baby Wise or any other parenting book for that matter)? So today was the day, although i have been saying that for about the last 5 weeks!! Oh goodness gracious i never knew how hard it would be. It was just so sad...
I mean the shrieks, the fake tears, the coughing, the gagging, and the sheer volume of the crying was enough to wake the neighbors. But, I managed to soldier on and not give in. And what do you know about 15 minutes later he's out cold.

The worst part is all of that was to get him to sleep in the swing, lordy be, what's it going to be like when i try the crib??????

He goes down at night in the crib fine, he's just not having any of that during the day!
